Advanced Security and Connectivity : Exploring Malware Detection, Intelligent systems, and smart IoT

Within the framework of the ELEGANT Erasmus+ project activities, MUBS Office of International Affairs in collaboration with MUBS Computer Science Department organized on July 14, 2023 a workshop about “Advanced Security and Connectivity : Exploring Malware Detection, Intelligent systems, and smart IoT”.

Coordinated by the University of Dubrovnik (Croatia), Elegant (which stands for Enhancing Teaching, Learning and Graduate Employability through University-Enterprise Cooperation) aims at enhancing university enterprise cooperation in Jordan and Lebanon in order to improve the teaching and learning experience of students and enhance the employability of graduates.
The event started with a welcome speech by Professor Bassem Kaissi (Vice President for International Affairs at MUBS) who explained the main objectives of the ELEGANT Erasmus+ project and focused on the progress achieved so far at MUBS. Dr. Yousef Ajeeb introduced afterwards MUBS computer science department.
The workshop trainers included Dr Vahid Tafreshi (Staffordshire University – UK), Dr. Walid Salameh & Dr. Ammar Odeh, (Princess Sumaya University for Technology-Jordan), and Dr. Abdel Hamid Soliman (Staffordshire University – UK)

The workshop was attended by 27 participants including 14 MUBS faculty members and 7 faculty members from Beirut Arab University (BAU).
